How to prevent messup by family?

Without knowing in more detail why your family is against your bf, it's difficult to determine if their animosity about your relationship is warranted. Why do they blame you for being with this guy? They must have their reasons. Is there a significant age difference? Is he a bad boy? Have you changed somehow because of him? Acting out, having sex, sneaking around?
