Whats the cleanest, newest, nicest hotels preferably on the beach in destin florida.?

I am a person who doesnt like to stay in hotels because of how dirty and dingy they can be once you actually get there reguardless of reviews or pictures from the hotels websites. I really want to be on the beach anywhere in destin fl. but If I have to be farther away so be it to stay in a nice clean, affordable, updated room, I really need help here. What choices do I have, any other tips also greatly appreciated to save some money I am not interested in condos either.
