Would it be a bad idea to use chocolate butter cream under sky blue fondant?
I am using Satin Ice fondant which I will color to a sky blue. I have only used white butter cream but since the bday people like chocolate, I am planning to make a chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream; however, I am using light colored fondant - sky blue. I'm afraid it might subtly show through and make the sky blue dull or dingy looking. I was thinking of rolling it out a little thicker. I would have no problem if I used a dark colored fondant...but my plan is a sky blue and I already made the gum paste flowers and scroll moldings that match the sky blue hue already. Can't go back now.
